Jyotish, translated from Sanskrit as "the science of light," is the traditional system of Vedic Astrology. Rooted in the ancient spiritual heritage of India, it is a profound methodology used to understand the relationship between the cosmos and human life. It is structurally categorized as a Vedanga; one of the auxiliary disciplines or "limbs" of the sacred Vedas. Specifically, classical texts refer to Jyotish as the "Eye of the Vedas". Just as physical eyes allow a person to safely navigate the material world, Jyotish serves as an organ of sight to help humanity navigate the invisible currents of time, karma, and cosmic influence. Far from being a modern system of personality types or fatalistic fortunetelling, true Jyotish is a sacred science with a distinct purpose and philosophical / spiritual foundation.
Spiritual care is a supportive, person-centered practice focused on addressing an individual’s non-clinical, existential, and inner needs. It provides a compassionate space to explore meaning, purpose, connection, and personal values, particularly during times of uncertainty or deep self-reflection. In this context, "spirituality" does not require adherence to a specific religion or dogma; rather, it encompasses whatever gives a person a sense of ultimate meaning, deep connectedness, and personal truth. Unlike clinical therapy or medical treatment, spiritual care does not diagnose or treat conditions; instead, it walks alongside individuals as a companion, honouring their unique worldview, inner landscape, and innate wisdom. The primary objective of this practice is to cultivate deep self-awareness and help individuals discover meaning within their personal experiences and shifting seasons of life.
I leverage these two domains of knowledge and practice to bring the best of the ancient and modern worlds together in supporting you with your spiritual care needs.
